First, our sincere thanks go to you for supporting our Drivers Cooperative-Colorado and utilizing our app for your ride arrangements. Since our official launch on September 25, 2024, this journey of offering the very first community-led app to our Colorado riders has been meaningful and important.
After careful consideration, we realized a shift was needed to ensure a reliable and seamless experience.
We have looked for an alternative to our current app and we found a well-established and socially-responsible technology company, TADA, that already has a well-built rideshare app with a record of success, and good reputation in international markets. This alternative app is supported by a large and professional team of engineers. With the same value-aligned mission to provide workers with higher earnings and good public transportation service, this technology company is happy to support our cooperative’s mission. An official partnership has formed in March and our new technology partners are working hard to customize the app for Colorado.
This means that the last day of our current app (Coop Colorado) will be April 30, 2025 and you will no longer be able to use the app for ride-arrangement starting May 1, 2025.
With a few months of preparation, we aim to offer a soft launch in mid June where driver members and riders will test out for over 2 weeks and the official launch of the app is set for early July. We are confident that this new app, supported by its large and experienced engineering team, will work much more smoothly and provide our riders with the rideshare experience you deserve.
This cooperative was built out of so much hope among drivers and community supporters. We are the very first cooperative in the US that has offered the first on-demand app, and we are proud to be bold and visionary. However, being the first provider of an on-demand app means many trials and errors. At least, we are confident that our new platform will provide a much smoother, more reliable experience for all driver members and riders. We want to ensure that your rides are easier to manage and the app functions properly.
