Job Overview

Drivers Cooperative-Colorado (DCC) is a driver-owned cooperative. Founded with a goal to provide a higher wage to rideshare drivers, we are a fast growing rideshare company in Colorado. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our rideshare cooperative, The Drivers Cooperative Colorado. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating driver activities, onboarding new drivers, facilitating orientations, and ensuring seamless communication between riders and drivers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the growth of the company’s driver and rider network.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Driver Onboarding:
  2. Review driver applications with objectivity to ensure compliance with company standards.
  3. Contact drivers to update them on the status of their applications, offering clear instructions and support.
  4. Verify driver payments for membership buy-in equity using Stripe and inform drivers with unsuccessful payments to follow up with their financial institutions.
  5. Order background checks for drivers who have successfully completed payments.
  6. Update driver status in dashboard.
  7. Facilitate Driver Orientation:
  8. Conduct in-person and online driver orientations between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
  9. Ensure all drivers are informed about company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  10. Facilitate Driver Meeting and Community Outreach:
  11. Help recruit new drivers and riders, expanding and strengthening the company’s network.
  12. Distribute Information, Education & Communication (IEC) materials at community events.
  13. Facilitate driver leadership training and meetings with driver leaders, as needed.
  14. Driver Assistance and Monitoring of the Dispatch Dashboard:
  15. Assign trips to drivers and monitor progress to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
  16. Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers to resolve issues in real-time.
  17. Assist drivers in identifying optimal routes by considering real-time traffic conditions and schedules to improve trip efficiency.
  18. Customer Support and Office Assistance:
  19. Serve as the primary contact for riders and drivers, addressing inquiries, complaints, and service-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
  20. Must be at the office from 9 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday.
  21. Pick calls between 6pm-10pm on Fridays.
  22. Pick calls every other Saturday between 6pm-10pm.
  23. Scheduling:
  24. Coordinate and manage driver schedules to ensure adequate coverage during both peak and off-peak hours.
  25. Safety Oversight:
  26. Monitor trip activity to ensure compliance with safety standards and escalate any concerns to the General Manager.
  27. Data Management and Reporting:
  28. Maintain accurate records of trip details, driver activities, and any incidents in the company’s database.
  29. Prepare and submit detailed reports on trip performance, driver activity, onboarding progress, and outreach efforts to the General Manager.
  30. Compliance:
  31. Ensure drivers adhere to company policies, local regulations, and rideshare standards to uphold operational integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in dispatching, customer service, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS navigation tools, and technology.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
